Welcome to Earth Modular Society!
Earth Modular Society was started in 2020 by Schmooster with the goal of a 24/7 open mic stream featuring modular synthesizers. Over 125 people have streamed live on our channel since its founding, and we are currently streaming live, right this minute. We are not necessarily committed to professionalism, views, fame, or fortune; we are a diverse community of like-minded people who like to share what we make on our (mostly) modular synthesizers. Our channel is a bit like an old public access station. We have streamed DIY soldering projects, live talk shows, meetup events, tutorials, Q&A, rehearsals for IRL live performances, a memorial for a pet, etc, etc. Some of us show our faces, some perform more anonymously. A few times a year we have live Stream Train events where dozens of people from all over the world stream live one after another, often for 12-16 hours straight. Our performances are live and not pre-recorded or edited. Sometimes things go wrong, modules start smoking, or cats interrupt the proceedings.
